HP is the abbreviated name of an American company Hewlett-Packard. HP is one of the major IT (Information technology) Company in the world and is also recognized and branded for its computers and the related peripheries (input & output devices attached with a computer).

The company was founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard and is having headquarters in California, U.S.A. At present, Mark hurd is the chief executive officer and president of the company.

HP can be credited of having being invented some useful equipments and technologies such as light scribe; an optical disc recording technology. Infact, HP is credited as the manufacturer of first desktop computer (Personal computer). 

One of the best things about HP is that it hadn’t restricted its commercial ventures to just personal computers; it had carved a niche for itself in other computer related products.

The brand name of HP has become a boon for its manufactured products. Especially, its printer, be it laser printer or inkjet printer; both of them are very extensively used globally.
